Columbus Clippers To Team Up With Division Of Unclaimed Funds To Reunite Fans With Missing Money

UPDATED: Wednesday August 21, 2013 10:39 AM

On Aug. 28 and 29, the Clippers will host members of the Ohio Department of Commerce.

Members of the department’s Division of Unclaimed Funds will help fans find out if they have missing money.

The department will have a booth with staff members behind section 28 near the entrance of Huntington Park

Clippers fans can stop by the booth at any time during the game to search their names in the department’s database.

Unclaimed funds are monies that have been dormant. They are reported to the state of Ohio for safekeeping until the rightful owners can be found.

“The Columbus Clippers and Huntington Park are delighted to participate in “Missing Money” nights with the Department of Commerce,” says Clippers President & GM Ken Schnacke. “Rest assured that I will be the FIRST in line these nights to see if the Clippers can uncover any unclaimed funds owed to us. This is a great way to combine a fun night of Clippers Baseball with a very serious and thoughtful project that is trying to return unclaimed funds to their rightful owners.”
