Pataskala residents will soon have a safer place to walk.
The city is getting more than $500,000 in grant money from the state.
City leaders said that they would use the money to connect more than 500 households and three parks.
Part of the project will include a path on both sides of Taylor Road from Havens Corner to Cleveland Avenue, and then north of Cleveland Avenue to Monarch Street.
Some areas that won't have a path will get sidewalks instead.
The city administrator said the long-term plan is to connect the city's east and west sides.
