Campers were evacuated after a device that looked like a pipe bomb was found at a vacant campsite.
According to a spokesman for Paint Creek State Park, located in Bainbridge, the unidentified device was found at about 9:45 a.m.
Officials said that the device bore a resemblance to a pipe bomb.
Columbus fire and bomb squad officials were contacted and responded.
The device was taken to a safe location, where it was disposed of.
No one was injured.
The camp was evacuated but was expected to reopen later on Sunday.
