A mother was jailed Friday after allegedly endangering her 6-year-old child.
According to court documents, Shelley Ison is charged after allegedly being under the influence of heroin and Xanax with her child present.
Neighbors called police to check on the home after the dog would not stop barking.
Documents stated that Ison, 31, was passed out on her couch with her child sleeping next to her, within reach of drugs.
The house they were staying in also had no running water, no food and there was animal feces and urine all over the area, court records showed.
Investigators say there was also a 16-gauge shotgun under the couch the child was sleeping on.
The judge set bond at $1,000 and ordered Ison to stay away from drugs and guns.
