Ohio Gas Prices Lower Than National Average

Gas prices in Ohio are higher to start the work week, but the state's motorists are still paying less than the national average.

The state average for a gallon of regular gas was $3.56 in Monday's survey from auto club AAA, the Oil Price Information Service and Wright Express. That's 12 cents higher than last week and 31 cents lower than a year ago.

The Ohio price is about a nickel below the national average of $3.61, which is down 2 cents from the national average a week ago.

Oil rose above $107 a barrel Monday after a disappointing U.S. jobs report made it more likely the Federal Reserve will continue its stimulus program beyond September.
