3 Ohio Institutions Receive $1.6 Million In Grants To Study Environmental Links To Breast Cancer

Susan G. Komen announced $4.5 million in research funds to more fully understand how environmental issues factor into breast cancer development.

According to the organization, $1.6 million of that money will go to research at three Ohio institutions.

One of the institutions receiving the money is Ohio State University.

The release stated that the grants will build on research that Komen has already funded.

The research will work to more fully understand the role of toxins and other environmental factors that could contribute to breast cancer.
