Back to school shopping is in full swing.

For Teays Valley High School junior Mikalyn Heidich and her friends, it's an a tradition to visit Tanger Outlets in Jeffersonville.

“We are just shopping around for back to school stuff and having some fun,” said Heidich.

This year, the outlet mall has some newer designer stores, popular with teens, says Kristen Hauer, Assistant Manager of Tanger Outlets.

“We just opened a Michael Kors. We have Coach, and popular for back to school is GAP and Banana Republic, and Converse is pretty new too,” Hauer said.

Hauer said there are plenty of deals to be found.

“The price tag on this dress says $69.99 but it's 60 percent off so it's $28. Plus, its part of our Tanger Style event, so you get an additional 20 percent off,” Haurer said.

Denim is a popular trend, said Hauer. She advises visiting the Levi's store for all of the latest denim styles.

For accessories, shoes and hand bags, the Fossil store is a popular spot, as well as Kate Spade.

“This bright colored purse, I just love because it's big enough for books. They have iPad covers and all different colors, iPhone covers, pencil cases,” said Hauer. “You can get 30, 40, or 50 percent off of these items; it all just depends on the sale.”

In addition to those sales, Hauer says shoppers can take advantage of the coupons, including the Tanger Style Event coupons that are 20 percent off. They’re available now at Shopper Services.

Heidich says that's why they always come back this time of year, using the coupons to buy even more.

“I got some dresses and some jean jackets and these cute shorts that I was excited about,” Heidich said.
