Traffic Stop Finds Couple With Heroin, 4-Year-Old Child In Car

Two people are facing drug charges after deputies said they were discovered with heroin during a traffic stop in Hocking County.

Kristin Marcum-Davis, 23, and Kenneth L. Davis II, 25, of Columbus, were stopped on Front Street in Logan. Marcum-Davis' 4-year-old daughter was also in the vehicle.

The Sheriff's Interdiction Unit says a K9 indicated that there were drugs inside the vehicle.

Passenger Marum-Davis was found with 11.6 grams of heroin, which included a large ball of heroin concealed in her body cavity.

Marcum-Davis is charged with possession of a controlled substance, permitting drug abuse, trafficking in drugs and tampering with evidence.

Kenneth Davis is also charged with possession of a controlled substance, permitting drug abuse and trafficking.

The child was released to another family member.

The two are being held at the Southeastern Ohio Regional Jail pending their court appearance.
