A man accused of abducting a 6-year-old girl will appear in court on Tuesday.
Zachary Dunn, 30, is in jail held on $500,000 bond.
Dunn was at the home of the child when she disappeared early Friday morning, according to Jackson Mayor Randy Heath.
The little girl was found on Friday, miles away from where she disappeared.
The woman who found the child said the girl was naked and hiding in her backyard. Authorities confirm the child was beaten, and they are awaiting a medical report for more details.
The child's mother, Brenda Stewart, appeared in court on Monday on unrelated charges, including a probation violation.
A judge denied her request to be released.
Officials tell 10TV that more charges could be filed against additional suspects in the case.
