Authorities Look For Gunman After 2 Shot In Fostoria

Police confirm two people were shot in Fostoria on Sunday and the suspected shooter is on the loose, reported CBS affiliate WTOL-TV.

One of the victims is dead and the other was taken by air ambulance to a hospital in Toledo.

Police are searching for Calvin Dixson, 37 in connection with the shooting.

He is possibly driving an older Ford pickup truck that is green or gray. Dixson is considered to be armed and dangerous.

Police told WTOL-TV that the victims are mother and daughter. The mother is the homicide victim.

They were sitting in a car on Bannister Street when they were shot.

Dixson is reportedly the estranged boyfriend of the homicide victim. He has outstanding warrants out for his arrest.

Mr. Dixson has contacts in Perrysburg and in Cleveland, according to the Toledo television station.

The shooting was reported around 1:30pm .

No lockdown has been issued, but police are urging that citizens are alert and aware of their surroundings.
