The Fairfield Medical Center and Fairfield Christian Academy will host the Community HealthFest on Saturday, August 3.
The medical center announced Thursday that the HealthFest will be held at the Fairfield Christian Church at 1965 N. Columbus Street in Lancaster, from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m.
“HealthFest is for the whole family, adults and children of all ages,” said Resa Tobin, Fairfield Medical Center community educator. ”There are a variety of health screenings and activities to promote the health and well-being of people in our community.”
Some of the services that will be provided include cholesterol, glucose, glaucoma, and spinal screenings as well as hands-on CPR, vision and hearing tests.
There will also be a new exhibit called the Strollin’ Colon that is designed to teach communities about colorectal cancer screening.
The fest will also feature face-painting, Wii games, and police cars and helicopters to explore.
It will also offer a free children immunization clinic, which is made possible by the Fairfield Medical Center Foundation, Fairfield Department of Health and Lancaster Rotary.
