A 55-year old woman living at the Village of Westerville nursing home said a medical professional came into her room to draw blood.
But it’s what happened afterwards that she says left her traumatized.
“I kept telling him, ‘No, no,’ said the woman, who 10TV News did not name.
The woman, who is weakened by a series of physical ailments, said she was too weak to push him away.
“I was stunned. I was just like shocked, he then proceeded to lift my shirt up,” she said.
According to Westerville police, the suspect drew the curtain around the bed and placed his genitals between her breasts for five or 10 minutes.
The woman says she was too shocked to scream.
Police say when they questioned the suspect about the alleged incident, he denied exposing himself, and told police, "There had been some touching." and that the woman had her shirt lifted up.
When asked if he were to take a polygraph and pass, police said the suspect answered, “No” and admitted to the victim's side of the story.
“The worst part is, I guess, (is) the trauma that somebody could be that sick,” the woman said.
She said she will never forget what happened inside her room that day, nor will she forget the last thing she said the suspect said to her as he left her room.
“He opened the door when he was ready to leave and he put his finger up to his lips and he said, ‘Shhh. You're my best patient ever,’ and walked out,” she said.
10TV News received a statement from the nursing home stating that they require background checks for vendors that work within the center.
"Several months ago, an allegation was made about an outside vendor accosting a patient. Our staff reacted immediately and conducted a prompt investigation, and contacted the proper authorities," the statement read.
The suspect worked for MedLab, and the company said the man was suspended.
10TV News did not release the man’s name, because charges are pending.
Police have requested the suspect be charged with gross sexual imposition.
