Indians, Reds Fighting For Playoff Spots

The Cleveland Indians and Cincinnati Reds are both fighting for playoff spots at the All-Star break.

The Indians (51-44) are 1.5 games back of the Detroit Tigers in the AL Central Division and three games back of the Tampa Bay Rays and the Texas Rangers in the AL Wild Card race.


The Reds (53-42) and Pittsburgh hold the lead in the NL Wild Card race and the Reds are five games back of St. Louis in the NL Central race.


Cleveland is just 3-10 against Detroit this season with seven games remaining against the Tigers.


Cincinnati is 3-6 against St. Louis this season, but still has 10 games left against the NL Central leader.


Both the Reds and Indians have 67 games remaining in the regular season.
