Columbus Police say no officers were injured in a shooting on S. 17th Street. Get the story.
Columbus police say a man possibly responsible for shooting an assault rifle in a Philadelphia nightclub could be in the Columbus area.
Authorities say the suspect has relatives in the area.
Henry Pettigrew, 21, reportedly went to his vehicle to grab an AK-47 assault rifle after he had an altercation with a bouncer that led to him allegedly fighting with other employees.
The FBI said Pettigrew wounded a man after he fired at a car in the parking lot on his way back into the nightclub. He slipped and fell as soon as he stepped inside the door.
Investigators believe that it was Pettigrew who then wildly fired inside the club, injuring another person as others rushed to take cover. Pettigrew then raced outside the club to a waiting getaway vehicle.
Pettigrew is 5 feet 11, 180 pounds and has a thin beard. Among the many tattoos on his body, he has one on his neck of a money bag and a skull and crossbones across his back.
The car in question that Pettigrew left the scene with is a light colored sedan that could possibly be a Hyundai or Mitsubishi.
Pettigrew is wanted on four charges of attempted murder and fleeing.
Those with information on Pettigrew's location or the crime are asked to contact the Columbus FBI office at 614-224-1183.
