A Columbus man who accused a Dublin police officer of inappropriate conduct will now face charges.
The man identified as Ronald Santa Croce accused the officer of making sexually related comments during a phone conservation in June.
The officer contacted Santa Croce to tell him the gym where he was a member was canceling his membership and banning him from the facility because of inappropriate conduct.
Santa Croce filed a complaint with the department, accusing the officer of being out of line.
Police listened to the recorded phone conversation and determined that the accusations were false.
Santa Croce was cited with making a false allegation against a peace officer.
