A new exhibit at COSI is intended to raise awareness about everyday use of power and energy.
“Energy Explorers” is a 4,000-square-foot interactive exhibit that includes a virtual gas station, a kitchen and even a way for visitors to experience a man-powered electrical shock.
“It’s really about the energy we use in our day to day lives,” said John Shaw, COSI’s Director of Experience Production, who was also the project manager for the new exhibit.
“The goal is to get people to understand the concerns that are arising in energy production,” Shaw added. He said that the exhibit is also intended to provide visitors with the tools to save energy and money.
COSI teamed up with AEP and started working on the project over five years ago.
It is scheduled to open July 20 and is part of COSI’s general admission.
