UPDATED: Thursday July 11, 2013 4:03 PM

Two people were arrested after allegedly selling illegal prescription medication to undercover detectives.

Narcotics detectives from the Chillicothe Police Department arrested Bradley Bell, 27, of Chillicothe and Kheritha Shivers, 34, of Jackson around 2 p.m. on Wednesday.

Bell and Shivers are both charged with drug trafficking, a third-degree felony.

According to a news release sent Thursday, detectives organized a "buy bust" strategy to contact the two suspects, who allegedly agreed to sell them the medication.

Detectives learned of the two individuals after a citizen informed authorities of their intention to sell the medication.

It is unknown what kind of prescription drugs were sold to the detectives.
