A man is facing a felonious assault charge for allegedly opening fire on a car driving through a south Columbus intersection Monday around 11 p.m.
Keith J. Pippins, Jr., is accused of shooting at the vehicle seven or eight times. He was arrested on Tuesday.
The victims, Todd Elkins and Nichole Adkins, say they recognized Pippins as the shooter.
The couple said Pippins' vehicle was sitting at a stop sign at Lock Avenue and Koebel Road. When they passed the vehicle, they allege that Pippins fired at them.
Investigators said four bullet holes were found in the victims' 2007 Saturn.
Elkins and Adkins were not injured in the shooting.
