Investigators with the Franklin County Sheriff's office are searching for one man involved in a shootout in Madison Township.

The shooting took place Saturday night at the Cross Key Apartments at Chatterton and Noe-Bixby Roads in southeastern Franklin County.

The Franklin County Sheriff's Office said Ravin Mays tried to vandalize part of the apartment complex with gang graffiti but was chased off by tenants.

They say he came back with a gun, body armor and a friend named Justin Fairbanks.

Investigators said the two exchanged gunfire with Nils Williams.  Fairbanks was hit once during the shootout, according to deputies.

Mays was arrested and charged with felonious assault.

A fourth person, Corey Lowe, was charged with tampering with evidence after investigators say he tried to get rid of Williams' gun.
