Convicted Sex Offender Found Guilty Of Possessing Child Porn

A New Lexington man will be heading back to prison after being found with child pornography after an earlier conviction, according to the Ohio Attorney General's Office.

On Tuesday, Timothy Whitlatch Jr. was sentenced to four years in prison. He pleaded guilty to one count of pandering obscenity involving a minor.

Whitlatch, a convicted sex offender, was found with 11 child pornography images on his home computer.

Whitlatch was convicted of a similar charge in 2006. At that time, the AG's office says he was given two years in prison.

He will continue to be required to register as a Tier II sex offender upon release.

"This defendant clearly did not learn his lesson after he was convicted on similar charges in the past and has continued to victimize children," said Attorney General DeWine.
