Police Try To Stop Suspect Who Robbed Galena Bank

Police say a bank on Park Street in Galena was robbed Tuesday morning shortly after 9 a.m.

A suspect handed a note to the teller that said he was armed. He took an undisclosed amount of money and fled the scene.

Westerville police were assisting Delaware County officials trying to stop the suspect.

Westerville police set up road blocks on Sunbury Road at County Line Road to try to stop the suspect’s vehicle.

Delaware County Sheriff's deputies say the suspect is a white male in his mid-20s, who is just under 6 feet tall and weighs approximately 175 pounds.

Anyone who spots the suspect is asked to call 740-833-2800 or dial 911.
