Officials have leveled more charges against a man accused of stealing tools and food from local garages.

Thomas Lee Jones was arrested around 5 a.m. on Monday.

Police said Jones, 21, loaded a stolen SUV with property stolen from multiple victims near Harwood Drive in southwest Columbus.

Court documents indicate that Jones now faces five charges including two for breaking and entering, one for theft and two for receiving stolen property.

Jones allegedly entered garages with garage door openers that he had found in unlocked vehicles parked in the driveways of the homes, according to court officials.

Police also said they also recovered miscellaneous checks, IDs, credit and gift cards and several GPS units. Authorities are looking for the owners of those items.
