Volunteer Firefighter Pleads Guilty To Aggravated Arson Charge

A man accused of setting a restaurant on fire pleaded guilty on Friday.

According to the Lancaster Eagle Gazette, Robert Steiner, a volunteer firefighter with Hocking Township, pleaded guilty to aggravated arson and tampering with evidence charges.

Steiner was charged after allegedly setting a fire at the Fiesta Tropicana Mexican restaurant in January.

The fire occurred during business hours.

As of Monday afternoon, Steiner was on administrative leave from the Hocking Township fire department.
