UPDATED: Thursday June 27, 2013 11:38 PM

London Police tell 10TV the Madison County Prosecutor is looking into alleged misconduct by a former London High School Teacher.

It is unclear if the former London High School teacher has been charged.

The district declined an on camera interview Thursday night.  However, the Superintendent of London City Schools, Thomas Ben, told 10TV's Jason Frazer, police reached out to the district in May about an allegation that the former teacher had an inappropriate relationship with several former students.

According to the district, the allegations include students who graduated from the high school within the last two years.
The Superintendent, citing the district's policy, could not confirm who the teacher in question is.

However, he does tell 10TV the former teacher resigned before the school was notified by police of the investigation.

London Police are asking people to come forward with additional information about possible sexual misconduct.
