Officials from Ohio's Bureau of Criminal Investigation were serving warrants in Hocking County on Thursday as part of a misconduct investigation.
Agents were at the Laurelville Municipal Building, Laurelville Waste Water Treatment Plant and a personal residence in Groveport as part of the investigation.
According to the Ohio Attorney General's Office, the agents are looking into alleged "criminal misconduct of village officials."
The Hocking County Sheriff's Office requested that the BCI handle the investigation.
No other details were released from state officials.
