Grove City Man Accused of Peddling Drugs To Teens

Grove City Police said they arrested a man accused of selling drugs to minors.

The investigation took a year before police arrested Zackary J. Ford.

"It does take time because not everyday, they're actually selling the drugs," said Grove City Police Captain Jeff Pearson.

Investigators say Ford originally caught their attention after they received multiple complaints that he was selling marijuana to students at Brookpark Middle School.

"We still haven't been able to confirm that he was selling drugs to people in middle school," said Captain Pearson.

Police said a year later an employee from the Regency Arms Apartments called them after suspecting that Ford was dealing drugs at an apartment on Parlin Drive.

"During the investigation, we saw people coming and going from the residence and it was consistent with drug transactions," Captain Pearson said.

Investigators said they saw what appeared to be six drug transactions during a three hour period in one night during their investigation into Ford.

Police said they found a half pound of marijuana, a couple of pills and drug paraphernalia when they arrested Ford earlier this month.

Police said they expect a grand jury will indict Ford on felony drug trafficking and possession charges.
