Columbus police and the Franklin County Sheriff's Department were investigating a man found shot to death near Greenlawn Cemetery early Monday morning.
Officials said the man was found dead around 3 a.m.
Workers from the Ohio Hospital for Psychiatry were on a break and saw the body outside the cemetery. That's when they called police.
Franklin County Sheriff officials said that they were working to identify the man.
They believed he was killed at another location and dumped at the cemetery.
Investigators were looking into whether it may be linked to a disturbance earlier in the night in the 700 block of Greenfield Drive.
Investigators were still working to identify the body, which was described as black, mid 20s, approximately 5 feet 3 inches to 5 feet 6 inches tall, 170 to 180 pounds.
The victim had black, shoulder-length braided hair.
Anyone with information is asked to call the Franklin County Sheriff's Office at 614-525-3351.
