A person is dead after drowning at Alum Creek State Park on Sunday.
According to the Ohio Department of Natural Resources, the man drowned around 6:45 p.m.
Delaware County Sheriff’s officials said the 44-year-old man was at the park with his fiancée and two children.
The man’s fiancée said that he ate something and went back into the water. She then was not able to find him.
A few minutes later, swimmers found the man and pulled him from the water.
Emergency crews tried to revive him with CPR and a defibrillator but were unable to do so.
He was taken to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
The name of the man was not immediately released.
The Delaware County Sheriff’s Office was handling the investigation.
