A teenager who was reported missing in July 2012 has been found safe.
According to the Fairfield County Sheriff’s Office, Julie Estep was found safe with a family member in Massillon, Ohio on Thursday.
She had last been seen on July 28, 2012, near Refugee Road in Pickerington.
The sheriff’s office detective bureau worked in conjunction with the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children and the Ohio Attorney General’s Office to find the girl.
On Thursday, a detective received a call from a special agent with the AG’s office and was able to make contact with Estep to know that she was safe.
Criminal charges have not been filed.
The investigation continues.
