State Route 29, between U.S. Route 42 and Interstate 70 in Madison County, was closed Wednesday afternoon because of a crash involving a car and a semi.
The crash also closed the ramp from I-70 west to S.R. 29.
According to Ohio State Highway Patrol officials, the crash occurred shortly before noon.
OSP officials said that they believed 21-year-old Jon-Jacob Matson of London, Ohio, was traveling north on S.R. 29 when he struck the left side of a semi as it was turning left from I-70 west.
The driver of the semi, Aubrey Eastman, 40, of Orient, sustained minor injuries in the crash.
Matson was pronounced dead at the scene.
The crash remained under investigation.
