Officials Investigating Two Armed Robberies Just Miles Apart

Officials in Licking County were investigating two armed robberies that happened just miles apart.

The first robbery happened around 11:15 PM at the Lions Den in Heath in the 6700 block of Hebron Road.

Heath Police said a masked robber armed with a shot gun got away with cash from that business.

45 minutes later,Newark police responded to an armed robbery just 9 miles away.

That robbery happened around midnight at the CVS store in the 1300 block of West Main Street in Newark.

Police from both agencies were working to see if the two similar crimes were connected.
