Columbus Recycling Company Offers Ways To Get Rid Of Electronics This Weekend

A Columbus recycling company is hosting two e-waste collection events on Saturday.

RecycleForce Columbus is co-hosting an event in Upper Arlington with Goodwill Columbus from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at 3172 Kingsdale Center.

RecycleForce is also joining Women’s Day at the Economic & Community Development Institute’s Women’s Business Center located at 1655 Old Leonard Ave. in Columbus from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

The goal of the two events is to collect electronic products from people that do not work anymore and recycle them free of charge.

“We encourage you to support this organization by dropping off your end-of-life electronics, anything with a cord attached,” Franklin County Commissioner Marilyn Brown said in a release Tuesday.

RecycleForce will accept computer monitors and televisions “27 or less for a $5 donation and televisions over “27 for a $10 donation.

All other donations will be free.

RecycleForce Columbus is an organization that allows formerly incarcerated men and women to try and reintegrate into society by getting a short-term job with the organization.
