Wednesday’s storms could have been a lot worse, but it did leave some extensive damage in the area.
One Whitehall family can attest to that.
A tree crashed through a family’s roof, right into a bedroom.
Kelly Harris said she was asleep when the storm hit.
“I woke up to something, what sounded like an airplane or something coming at me,” she said.
The sound was that of a tree crashing into her son’s bedroom.
“For a second, I think, ‘I’m going to die,’” said Harris’ son, Brennen.
But Brennen was alive and well on Thursday. He just happened to fall asleep on the couch in a different room.
“He was going to be in that bed, and there was a big old piece of wood right in the middle of that bed,” Kelly Harris said.
Harris is now left with a big clean-up, but she is thankful that no one was hurt.
