Police Look For Suspects Accused Of Robbing, Taking Homeowner Hostage

Columbus police are looking for two suspects accused of breaking into a southwest Columbus home and taking the owner hostage.

A 52-year-old woman said she was sleeping when two unknown people broke her door down and entered the house, located in the 700 block of Josephine Avenue, according to the police report.

According to the report, the alleged victim told police that the suspects demanded that she give them her pills and money.

She attempted to run out of the house but one of the suspects grabbed her to prevent her from leaving, the police report stated.

The alleged victim said prior to police arriving, the two suspects ran out the front door. Officers said they did not find anything.

Physical evidence was collected at the scene and submitted for DNA testing, according to the police report.

The two suspects face charges of aggravated robbery, kidnapping, and criminal damaging and endangering.
