The owner of an alleged “chop shop” in western Ohio said he is not guilty of taking apart stolen trucks.
Miami County deputies arrested 61-year-old Michael Nowak after finding several stolen trucks at his shop.
A Columbus truck company tracked one of their stolen trucks to the shop through an on-board GPS and then alerted deputies.
A law enforcement official told WHIO-TV in Dayton that when crews got on scene, they found a number of other stolen pieces of equipment.
The Columbus truck company valued the stolen truck at more than $56,000.
Deputies are working to determine where the stolen trucks came from and to find their owners.
More charges could be presented against Nowak as the investigation continues.
