UPDATED: Friday May 24, 2013 4:13 PM

A lockdown at a Columbus elementary school was lifted after a suspect was taken into custody.

Officials locked down Leawood Elementary School in east Columbus following a nearby domestic dispute around 11:45 a.m.

According to police, the lockdown was prompted after a 14-year-old boy left the scene of a domestic dispute on Wilton Avenue.

Police described the individual as a "mentally-ill" teenager. He apparently had a fake gun with him.

Authorities told 10TV that the suspect was taken into custody just after noon.

The suspect's name has not been released.

It was unknown if charges would be filed.
