The Ohio Inspector General found a state medical board chief of investigations misused a state vehicle that he was provided.
The inspector general issued the report on Thursday.
According to a press release, Douglas Edwards, the chief of investigations for the State Medical Board of Ohio, was assigned a state-issued vehicle to carry out his duties as the agency’s top investigator.
The investigation found Edwards was unable to account for more than 3,000 miles of use over a one-year period.
10TV also confirmed that Edwards resigned on May 8.
The case has now been forwarded to the Franklin County Prosecuting Attorney.
