An approaching cold front will bring a chance for showers and storms this afternoon and evening. Some of these may be strong to severe. The Storm Prediction Center has put the entire state under a Slight Risk for Severe Storms later today. There's a good chance for showers tomorrow too, and possibly some thunder, before high pressure brings clearing skies heading into the holiday weekend. Seasonably cool temperatures settle in for Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Overall, the holiday weekend looks dry and pleasant. Temperatures will warm again heading into Memorial Day and early next week.
