Lancaster Police Investigate 2 Child Enticement Cases

UPDATED: Monday May 20, 2013 1:28 PM

Police in Lancaster are investigating two reports of possible child enticements, according to The Lancaster Eagle-Gazette.

On Saturday, three girls reported that they were approached by a man in a vehicle at the intersection of Reese Avenue and Mithoff Drive around 7 p.m.

The girls said the man was touching himself inappropriately and told them to get into his vehicle. He left the area after the girls walked away.

The girls told police the man was in his 40s with a balding or shaved head, and his car had leopard-print seat covers.

On Sunday, police were called to East Elementary, where a woman said she saw a man offering children candy to take pictures of them.

Officers located the man on a front porch on East Main Street, the newspaper reported.

He told police that he "just liked to watch kids." He became uncooperative with officers and tried to leave the area.

The man was arrested for obstructing official business and resisting arrest.

Police said that they did not believe the two incidents were related.
