A few evening showers and thunderstorms will dissipate early tonight with partly cloudy skies expected. Temperatures will be mild overnight with lows holding in the lower to middle 60s. Some patchy dense fog will be possible late tonight. A hot and muggy day is in the forecast Monday as southerly winds pump up the heat and humidity. High temperatures will top out close to record highs, near 90 degrees by late afternoon. While there is a slight chance for a pop up storm Monday, most of central Ohio will remain dry.
A frontal boundary will begin to approach the state late Tuesday increasing the threat for pop up storms. Showers and storms will become more numerous Tuesday night into Wednesday as a cold front gets closer. A few storms could be strong with large hail and damaging winds being the main threats. The front will push through the state late Wednesday with showers lingering across central Ohio on Thursday. Temperatures will remain quite warm with muggy conditions through Wednesday. Cooler, drier weather will arrive late Thursday into Friday.
