A man and a woman were rushed to Grant Medical Center after a shooting in southeast Columbus on Saturday.
Police received a report of the shooting in the 1300 block of Evergreen Road around 1 p.m.
An emergency dispatcher told 10TV News that officers found a 47-year-old man with a gunshot wound to the chest, laying in the front yard of a residence.
Vincent L. Jones was rushed to Grant Medical Center where he was pronounced dead.
A woman, identified by neighbors as the victim's sister, was also found with a gunshot wound to the arm. She was taken to the hospital, where she was treated and released.
Investigators described the shooting as a domestic dispute.
Millard Jones was questioned by detectives after the shooting. He was the father of the man who was fatally shot.
Police released the 86 year old to his family Saturday evening.
Authorities plan to present evidence from the shooting to a grand jury to determine if the man will face charges.
