The eastbound lanes of Interstate 70 were closed in Clark County on Friday morning due to several crashes.
Officials said as many as 20 vehicles may have been involved in the crashes near the South Charleston Pike exit.
The road was open by noon, but officials said traffic was still moving slowly.
The crashes were reported around 7:30 a.m. and there was dense fog was in the area at the time.
According to WHIO-TV, several semi-trucks were involved with at least one jack-knifed.
The station also reported at least four people were transported with injuries.
