Police Search For Man Who Asked For Cigarettes, Demanded Money From UDF Clerk

Police said a young man entered a west side convenience store early Thursday and robbed it.

According to police, a man entered the UDF, located at 1043 W. Broad St., and approached the clerk at about 5:17 a.m.

After asking for cigarettes, the man implied he had a weapon and demanded cash from the register.

The clerk handed over an undisclosed amount of cash, and the man fled from the store.

The thief is described as being in his mid-20s, 5 feet 9 inches tall, thin and wearing a black hooded sweatshirt with white graphic designs on it.
