OhioHealth announced plans on Wednesday to expand its services in the Hilliard area with the new OhioHealth Hilliard Health Center.
The facility, located on Britton Parkway at Interstate 270 and Cemetery Road, will be 35,000-square-feet and is scheduled to open in January 2014, according to OhioHealth.
Several OhioHealth physician services and practices will be relocated to the new health center.
Among these are the Orthopaedic Specialists of Central Ohio, DeWalt Family Medicine at Mill Run, The Doctor’s Office at Hilliard Square, MAX Sports Medicine and Hilliard Sports Medicine and Rehabilitation.
In addition, there will be several new services offered, including OhioHealth Laboratory Services, OhioHealth Urgent Care, advanced diagnostics (MRI and X-ray) and expanded rehabilitation including physical therapy and hand therapy.
“Hilliard is a growing community and we are excited by this opportunity,” said Sean Huffman, president of OhioHealth Neighborhood Care. “While we have been serving Hilliard for many years, to continue meeting the needs of the community and ensure an excellent, high quality patient experience, it was time for us to expand our current offerings. By bringing together all of these services in one location, our patients will have more convenient access to OhioHealth and will experience increased coordination of our expert care near where they live and work.”
The new Hilliard center will be part of a 55-acre mixed use development also including a grocery store, gas station, apartment homes, restaurants and medical office buildings, according to OhioHealth.
