A woman faces a charge of attempting to convey illegal drugs into a correctional facility after Ohio State Highway Patrol troopers were tipped off to the plan.
According to the OSP, officials received a tip that Lesley Hernandez, 36, of Findlay, was planning to give drugs to an inmate at the London Correctional Institution.
Hernandez had a scheduled visit on May 9 at 2:45 p.m. with the inmate.
Surveillance was conducted by troopers and members of the Department of Rehabilitation and Corrections. Investigators said they saw Hernandez pass the drugs to the inmate.
Both Hernandez and the inmate were taken into custody, and troopers recovered 9.9 grams of marijuana. The contraband has a prison value of $400, according to the OSP.
