One penny may not get you very much these days.
But more than 4 million pennies is a different story.
That’s exactly what local students were able to collect as part of their penny harvest project.
Power of the Penny, sponsored by See Kids Dream, took all those pennies, totaling more than $41,000, and put them towards various service projects.
Schools from Columbus, Worthington, Dublin and Upper Arlington took part, along with The Wellington School and two charter schools.
