COTA Bus Shooting Suspect In Custody

A suspect in an April shooting that left a woman riding a COTA bus critically wounded, has turned himself in.

19-year-old Anthony T. Saunders, III has been charged with felonious assault in connection with the April 16 incident.

Police said gunfire erupted at the corner of North 4th Street and East 8th Street in North Columbus, striking a COTA bus several times.

A passenger aboard the bus, 39-year-old Amy Delvis, was shot in the face.  Delvis was transported to a local hospital in critical condition.

Police said a red Chevy Impala with its rear window partially shot out, was seen leaving the area after the shooting.  

One woman has also been charged in the case.  22-year-old Keniece Wyche was charged with tampering with evidence in the case.
