Detectives questioned a teenage shooting victim early Monday morning, in hopes of gathering information into who shot him.
Officers said a 17-year-old boy called after he fled the shooting scene in the Polaris Parkway area.
Police said the victim just left the drive-thru at Steak ‘N Shake in the 1800 block of Polaris Parkway, when he and a friend were approached by two unknown males.
One of the males reportedly stood at the driver’s side window and pulled out a gun.
Police said the victim grabbed at the gun and drove off.
Officers said one shot was fired at the victim’s vehicle, hitting the vehicle, then the victim in the shoulder.
The teen drove himself home where he called 911.
Medics transported the victim to Riverside Hospital.
Police searched the Polaris Parkway area for the gunman on the ground and by helicopter.
Investigators looked into obtaining surveillance video in hopes of catching the suspect on camera.
Police said Monday afternoon that they were searching for a white van in connection with the shooting.
Police said the victim’s injuries were not life-threatening.
