A Cleveland official said three women who survived a decade-long kidnapping ordeal are beginning to get lawyers to help with compensation.

City Councilman Brian Cummins said the lawyers will become a primary point of contact for the victims as money pours into a charitable fund.

Cummins said the lawyers will help keep focus on the victims' needs and ensure the integrity of the donation process.
