Dublin Sees Spike In Catalytic Converter Thefts

Dublin police responded to 14 calls about catalytic converter thefts in about a month and a half.

According to Dublin police, the incidents occurred from mid-March to April 29.

The thefts occurred along Upper Metro Place, Metro Place South, Blazer Memorial Parkway, Rings Road, Sawmill Road, Village parkway, Cramer Creek Court and Emerald Parkway.

Dublin police said that most of the thefts occurred on week days, and the most common vehicles targeted have been Toyotas, Jeeps and Hondas.

The thefts have occurred in business parking lots.

Anyone with information about the thefts is asked to call Dublin police at 614-889-1112.

Police said they currently had no one of interest in connection with the thefts.
